We present and analyze high resolution spectra of the H-alpha and Ca II K lines of the Capella system observed from November 1989 to October 1995. Besides the obvious shifts of the line profiles relating to the orbital motion of the binary system, the combined H-alpha lines, whose average equivalent width is -1700mA, have an additional +/- 310mA equivalent width variation, adn such a variation may, based on our quantitative estimation, come from the hot component. Most of the emission features in the Ca II K line center comes from the cool star, with short time scale variation on both the emission strength and line profile. (SECTION: Stars)
