The ISOPHOT instrument is equipped with three filter wheels and one focal plane chopper. The design of these cryomechanisms is characterized by: operation at room temperature and cryogenic temperature 290K - 2.4K; low energy consumption; high position accuracy; long lifetime; low switch time. All cryomechanisms worked perfectly during the whole ISO mission.
