Lateral and energy characteristics of hadrons with E(h) greater than 600 GeV in EAS with Ne = 8000-200,000 at the mountain level are presented. Comparison with calculations indicates the substantial influence of the hadron-cascade overlay on the formation of jets in the Tien-Shan calorimeter and therefore on the measured characteristics of the hadron component, starting from Ne above 30,000 and E(h) greater than 3 TeV.
