Magnetospheres of pulsars contain charged particles. The motion of electrons and positrons in a simplified cylindrical model is discussed for a pulsar with the period of the Crab. It will be shown that this motion near the light cylinder provides a mechanism for the production of incoherent radiation at gamma ray frequencies. Such radiation has been observed in the Crab and the Vela pulsars.
