We discuss the real nature of HH Nor, an eclipsing binary that has been re-classified as an RR Lyrae type variable by Dvorak (2004), using observations by the ASAS-3 project. We point out that the star is in a double system separated by 12."6, which means the system was observed unresolved by the ASAS instrument. We show that the brighter component is a newly discovered RR Lyrae star, while the eclipsing variable HH Nor is the fainter component. Corrected light elements were determined for both variable stars.
