Absorption data obtained during the November 2-5, 1969, solar proton
event at 36 MHz (ordinary and extraordinary waves), 18 MHz, and 9 MHz
for four rocket flights plus 30-MHz riometer data are shown to be in
good accord with theory. Factors influencing the precision of the
results are discussed.
