The upcoming HyperSuprime Cam (HSC) survey will be highly complementary
to HETDEX. As one example, continuum measurements from HSC will allow
efficient selection of Ly alpha emitters, while redshifts from HETDEX
will improve the photometric redshift calibrations for HSC. We discuss
further scientific overlap of these two large surveys.
