Semiempirical models of a quiescent prominence on December 12, 1972 have been deduced for four different heights. The transfer, statistical equilibrium equations as coupled with the hydrostatic equilibrium, and the particle conservation equations are solved iteratively. Variations in pressure, velocity, and temperature with varying height are presented.
