An alternative mechanism to feedback from active galactic nuclei for heating galaxy cluster cores is the heating originating from turbulent motions in the ICM that is due to merging activity. This is an area of recent interest as recent simulation works have highlighted the differences in central entropy produced in merging galaxy clusters by different hydrodynamical approaches to modeling the ICM. We present a set of simulations using the AMR code FLASH to investigate the heating of cluster cores from core gas sloshing caused by interaction with subclusters. We demonstrate the effect of induced turbulent motions and mixing on the heating of cluster cores, its competition with cooling, and how this may be modified in the presence of viscous forces on the cluster gas.
