We present a study of a reactive subsonic flow of pure oxygen over a probe as well as our approach of catalycity from both a chemical and physical point of view. The CFD modelling is developed for a pure oxygen plasma, with physicochemical parameters calculated by Wilke's law for mixtures. In a first step, we included neither deviations from chemical equilibrium nor the reactivity of the interface and solved the full set of Navier-Stokes equations into the whole domain. At the same time, we are studying catalycity from a chemical point of view by performing ab initio calculations on the first elementary step in wall recombination: atomic oxygen adsorption on a copper surface. Key words: Adsorption; Catalycity; Subsonic flow; Ab initio; Oxygen.
