The 4.5-day spectrum variability suspected by Koenigsberger et al (1980) for the case of the WN 6 star HD 192163, which is associated with the ring nebula NGC 6888, has been confirmed by spectroscopic observations. The mass of the secondary, which is probably a neutron star, is suggested to be approximately one solar mass for the case of a model close binary in which the primary star has a mass function f(WR) = 0.02-0.003 solar masses. HD 192163 may be seen as a close binary system in the post-X-ray stage of evolution.
