Results of HCO(+) J = 1-0 observations of 38 molecular clouds associated with Sharpless regions are reported and analyzed. A correlation between HCO(+), CO, and HCN radiation temperature is found, and the HCO(+) line widths show a large scatter when compared with the corresponding HCN and CO line widths. Lower limits on the HCO(+) column densities and abundances are estimated in the optically thin approximation.
