A new hard X-ray source located at R.A. 5 h 16 m and declination 38 deg, emitting in the range 15-150 keV, has been detected using balloon-borne multiwire spectroscopic proportional counters. A clear enhancement of 3.5 ph/s (on a 2700 sq cm area), corresponding to a statistical significance of 8.2 sigma, was observed during a single drift scan performed on the region containing the soft X-ray source 4UO515+38. Analysis of the observations suggests that the soft (3-6 keV) and the hard (15-150 keV) X-ray emissions come from the same object or region.
