A hard X-ray solar flare, detected with a balloon-borne coded mask telescope (CMT) near the edge of the field of view has been used to test a new image reconstruction technique. This implies a rotation of the instrument and the absence of collimators. The technique is described and the resulting clear image of the event is shown. We show that this technique is very useful in the X-ray experiments for the imaging of sources over the entire field of view of the instrument.
