The Swift/BAT hard X-ray transient monitor reports the detection of ongoing flaring activity from the broad-line radio galaxy 3C 111. Examination of the data shows the source at a level of 0.0046 ± 0.0022 ct/s/cm2 (20 mCrab) beginning on 2009-Dec-27 (MJD 55192) and rising to a high of 0.0125 ± 0.0015 ct/s/cm2 (55 mCrab) on 2009-Dec-31.
