Extra-planar gas in spiral galaxies can originate from disk-halo cycling driven by star formation in the disk or from infalling gas clouds. Studying halo gas kinematics provides evidence for which scenario is more plausible, and edge-on galaxies provide an opportunity to study extra-planar gas. We measure gas velocities from H-alpha emission as a function of height above the galactic disk for edge-on galaxy NGC 4631. NGC 4631 is an Sc/SBd galaxy with extended HI tidal tails from interactions with nearby companions. It shows a thick disk of clumpy H-alpha emission with complex structure, and it has active star formation. NGC 4631 also has an extended radio halo, and soft X-ray emission has been detected out to 8kpc from the midplane. By using a multi-slit setup on the ARC 3.5m telescope and arranging the slits parallel to the minor axis, we are able to measure H-alpha velocities as a function of height in 11 radial distance bins simultaneously. We will present the velocities of the ionized gas derived from these spectra along with a comparison with HI velocities.
