Observations of Halley's comet during its return in 1835 are reviewed, with attention given to the 1759 and 1910 observed parameters. Perturbations in the orbits of Jupiter and Saturn are noted to have delayed the comet's returns by 100 and 518 days, respectively, on its last two returns. Various predictions of the time of the cometary perihelion made in the early 18th century are examined. Attempts to account for the effects of Uranus, the earth, Venus, and Mars on the cometary orbit are reported. A summary of astrometric, polarimetric, and luminosity measurements is given, and photographs from 1836 are provided. The comet reached perihelion on Nov. 16, 1835.
