The recent researches on observations of Hα line profile asymmetry in chromospheric flare are reviewed. Spectral properties, the corresponding mechanisms of asymmetry, and reproduction of observational spectrum by using semi-empirical atmosphere model are discussed in detail. At last, the main problems to be solved and further researches are put forward.
