Spectroscopic data for the QSO H1340 no. 10 are reported and discussed in terms of known active objects. The FWHM of the Lyman alpha line was measured at 1500 km/sec, which is far below other high-z QSOs. However, the C IV emission line is similar to that observed in QSOs and in narrow-line profiles of Seyfert 2 galaxies. An excess luminosity f H1340 no. 10 is suggested to be due to the action of a gravitational lens. It is also possible that H1340 no. 10 is a bright, narrow-line object like a Seyfert 2 galaxy, or a QSO with atypical narrow emission lines. IR observations are recommended for distinguishing the actual classification of the object by obtaining broad-line magnitudes.
