SO galaxies in the HI 21-cm line have been observed along with some ellipticals and some spiral galaxies as a check. A search has also been carried out for H I in the neighborhood of the galaxies N 3605, N 3607, and N 3608, and a very low upper limit has been established for any galactic or intergalactic H I present. For most SOs no H I was found, making it possible to set very low upper limits.
