Neutral hydrogen observations of the barred spiral galaxy NGC 1365 have been made with the Very Large Array with an angular resolution of 24 x 32. The H I is is mostly concentrated in the prominent spiral arms and just outside the bar. No gas is detected in the bar, except that weak H I absorption is seen against the nuclear continuum source at blueshifted velocities, indicating gas outflow. Deviations from circular motion in the gas just outside the bar are consistent with the presence of a strong bar potential. The gas in the spiral arms reveals large streaming motions similar to those seen in galaxies with strong density waves.
