Metal Strong Damped Lyα Systems (MSDLAs) track the most metal rich galaxies in the high redshift universe. Previous observations have yielded a sample of 43 candidate MSDLAs of which follow up spectra are taken. Eight of these candidates meet the metal-strong criteria. We report new H I column densities, redshifts, metallicities, and search for extinction and reddening by dust in these candidate MSDLAs.
