Effects of a non-zero cosmological constant, Lambda, upon the growth, collapse, and virialization of spherical and nonspherical density inhomogeneities in the postrecombination universe are calculated. The growth that results is compared with that in the absence of the Lambda term. In the evolution of the velocity field a competition is seen between pure adiabatic decay of the velocity, v varies as a exp -1, and the growth of velocities induced by the growing density perturbations. The formation of flattened 'pancakes' is studied, and the turnaround times together with the density contrast required for the collapse of different axes are derived.
