Above the solar transition region (STR), trapped coronal gravity waves with timescales longer than 1 hr could exist within the field-free or weak-fields spatial region above a supergranule. In the hydrodynamic case, the trapping efficiency from above is higher for high-degree and low-frequency coronal gravity waves. We describe several signatures of the gravity waves trapped in the lower coronal and discuss the influence of magnetic fields concentrated along supergranule boundaries. We also indicate the possible appearance of coherent coronal gravity waves within large surface patches containing many supergranules.
