Scientific paper

The paper extends the gravitational mass defect in charged static and
spherically symmetric metric discussed by Ghose and Kumar (1976) to the
case in which the charge is kept constant in the course of gravitational
mass defect. Some curves showing defected mass M variation as a function
of the primary mass, the specific charge, and the radius are presented.
