High-resolution transmission electron microscopy shows that carbon in
the Allende carbonaceous chondrite meteorite is predominantly a poorly
crystalline graphite. Such material is of interest as an important
carrier of the isotopically anomalous noble gases found in carbonaceous
chondrites.
