On behalf of a larger collaboration, the field of SN 2011ja was observed with the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) for 6 hours centred on 2012 January 11.0 UT at an effective frequency of 1264 MHz with a bandwidth of 32 MHz. The image is dynamic range limited, due to the bright host galaxy which also has significant extended emission. The flux density at the position of the supernova is 2+/-1 mJy.
