Correlations between observational data on orbit shape and sense of revolution, as well as metallicity, cluster half-light diameter, horizontal branch morphology, and Oosterhoff type of cluster variables, provide information on the earliest phases of Galactic evolution. There is some linkage between horizontal branch morphology of Galactic globular clusters, properties of cluster RR Lyrae stars, and the orbital parameters of such clusters. Second-parameter effects are linked to cluster kinematics, and hence to the history of proto-Galactic collapse. It is noted that the metallicity distribution of the clusters in retrograde orbits implies that their ancestral body had a mass greater than that of the Large Magellanic cloud.
