This report describes the progress made in the investigation of the
solar corona using magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulations. Coronal mass
ejections (CME) are believed to be the primary cause of nonrecurrent
geomagnetic storms and these have been investigated through the use of
three-dimensional computer simulation.
