This CD-ROM contains data obtained by participants in ESA's Giotto Extended Mission and assembled for archiving jointly by ESA's GEM Project and the Small Bodies Node of NASA's Planetary Data System (PDS). This volume includes spacecraft measurements during the 10 July 1992 encounter with comet 26P/Grigg-Skjellerup, as well as supporting ground-based images during that same period. A full description of the spacecraft data is given in the Catalogue Directory as a set of PDS defined files detailing each data set. In addition to the spacecraft measurements, sets of ground-based images taken using various filters have been included in the archive: a collection of 33 CCD images from 1986 through 1993 provided by H. Böhnhardt and G. Matella; near encounter (July 10), three narrow-band images collected by a group from the Mullard Space Science Laboratory (A. Coates, G. Jones, K. Mason) and a composite "dust" image submitted by K. Jockers, N. Kiselev, H. Böhnhardt and N. Thomas; and two braod-band images from perihelion (July 25) provided by A. Rotundi. The booklet is intended as a brief user's guide to the GEM data archived on CD-ROM.
