Long time series of H alpha-filtergrams of chromospheric mass ejections in a coronal hole, obtained at the Sacramento Peak Observatory's large coronograph have been analyzed. It is shown that they may significantly contribute to the fast solar wind. The analysis of these ejections, originating from giant macrospicules, has established the existence of a critical height beyond which mass ejection can occur. Examination of these structures, shows further that they are impulsive, recurrent and reach the corona. They seem, otherwise, to be located in the chromospheric network, and follow the magnetic field lines assumed open toward the solar corona. The principal characteristics of these ejections have their counterpart in X and XUV observations obtained by the different missions of Skylab and HRTS; so, they appear to be sources susceptible to feed (in mass and 'speed') the fast solar wind in coronal holes.
