The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory is collaborating with other agencies active in optical satellite tracking. Results from Geos 1 flash observations obtained by these agencies have been implemented in current SAO research programs on satellite geodesy. Proper implementation of these observations requires a detailed description of observation techniques and data processing applied by these agencies. This report deals with the methods used by the Royal Radar Establishment, Great Malvern, England. Accuracy estimates and some geodetic results are also presented.
