According to the relation of the aspherical wavefront, the optimum geometrical parameters of the square array screen in the two-dimensional Hartmann quantitative test of an aspherical mirror have been chosen. The results for the 1.2-m paraboloid mirror at the Yunnan Observatory are given in this paper. They show that the method has features of the minimum image diameter at every defocussed position and of the high sample density. This method can improve the measurement accuracy of the image point and the testing accuracy of the mirror.
