A method is developed for analyzing catalogs of galaxies based on the plotting of contours of density, separating regions of high and low density, and conducting a statistical analysis of the geometrical parameters of these regions. Algorithms are developed for separating the regions and for determining their parameters. Four catalogs of galaxies are investigated using this method: the stochastic catalog (R catalog), obtained by the random placement of the particles; the A catalog, corresponding to the adiabatic theory of galaxy formation ('pancake' picture); the S catalog, corresponding to the late stages in the evolution of a system of gravitationally interacting point masses; and the real catalog of the distribution of galaxies in the neighborhood of the south pole (the O catalog). A comparison of the geometrical parameters of the regions of high and low density for the different catalogs shows that strongly elongated dense configurations and large voids are typical for all four catalogs, and that the area S(-) of the voids and their length D(-) along a random straiight line depend strongly on the fraction of dense regions in the catalog.
