Space-time distributions of the geomagnetic field variations are considered, taking into account equivalent current systems, a simulation of the hourly-mean values of geomagnetic field variation, and the reconstruction of the hourly-mean values of By and Bz. An investigation is conducted of space-time distributions of the field-aligned currents, giving attention to the methods of calculation, a model of the field-aligned currents, and the space-time distribution of the field-aligned currents controlled by parameters of the solar wind plasma. An analysis of the field-aligned current measurements of the Triad and Isis satellites is also conducted.
