In the present paper, experimental data are used as a basis to analyze the influence of sporadic E layers of various intensities and heights of formation on the field of long-period geomagnetic pulsations. Simultaneous analysis of ionospheric and magnetic data showed that an increase in sporadic E intensity leads to an increase in pulsation amplitude at heights between 100 and 110 km, and to a decrease in this amplitude at heights between 120 and 130 km, both in the H- and D-components. A decrease in sporadic E intensity leads to the opposite effect.
