At Air Force Global Weather Central (AFGWC) several geomagnetic indices
to specify the state of the magnetosphere were used. In this paper it
introduces the indices of geomagnetic activity most commonly in use by
DOD agencies. It discusses the procedures used at AFGCW to compute the
indices and briefly describes the uses of each one.
