The geomagnetic effects of high-velocity fluxes in the solar wind on a sub p, AE, and Dst indices are investigated. It is shown that the degree of disturbance of the solar wind in the high-velocity fluxes determines the intensity of the corresponding geomagnetic variations. For most of the high-velocity fluxes, the A sub p, AE, and Dst indices reach their maximum values when the first phase of the flux (i.e., the region of compressed solar wind) passes by the earth.
