Analysis of Venera 15/16 radar images of Bell Regio on Venus shows that the main massif of this upland is a giant dome-like tectonic uplift with the summit rifting and basaltic volcanism in the form of plain-forming flooding and formation of small volcanic domes and large shield volcano of Tepev Mons. Morphologic features of gravitational subsidence of the southern part of the massif and Tepev Mons body have been observed. An analysis of Pioneer-Venera gravimetric observations permits to prefer density models with total or partial isostatic compensation.
