The visual and digital data of Landsat Thematic mapper from Durg regions are studied and interpreted. The geological features such as joints, fractures, sinkholes and dykes are mapped. Different rock formations in the area are identified. The correlation between geological features and rock types are discussed in estimating ground water potential of the area.
