The geological mapping of the Araguainha Dome structure through the utilization of remote sensing products and the search of elucidative evidences, of its origin and age are discussed. It is shown that the validity of the combined utilization of different remote sensing products in geological mapping was possible. It is concluded that the Araquainha dome is an astrobleme which was formed between 195-260 m.y. ago, from the impact of a celestial body (asteroid or comet) against the Earth's surface.
