The generation of a spiral pattern in a galactic disk under the influence of the gravitational field of a satellite orbiting in the retrograde direction is modeled numerically. The satellite generates a leading single-arm spiral, corotating with it. The density amplitude in the spiral arm is about one percent for MS/MG ratio in the range 1/3 to 1/2.
