Approximately 460g of the L6 ordinary chondrite ALH85017 were subjected
to 50 impacts by alumina spheres at a nominal speed of 2 km/s.
Comparison with basalt and gabbro targets demonstrates that the
chondrite yielded finer debris. Those fines were enriched in silicates
over metallic Fe-Ni.
