Radar observations of the Geminid meteor shower, obtained at observatories in Dushanbe, Ondrejov, and Ottawa, are used to develop a long baseline for extending the observational time to provide 20 hr of observation. Three duration groups are used to examine the cross-sectional structure of the Geminid shower, T less than 1 sec, T = 1-8 sec, and T greater than 8 sec. It is shown that this method gives good shower activity maxima positions but poor amplitudes. The influence of the Poynting-Robertson effect is shown by comparing the maxima positions in the three duration groups with the solar longitude. This relation can be expressed in the form L(max) = 261.29 degrees-0.118 degrees (M), with M being the radio-magnitude.
