Based on the fact that the generation order parameter of a radio pulsar must be at least equal to unity and a modified polar gap model of γ-ray pulsars, we give a possible explanation as to why Geminga does not emit in radio. We find that the strength of the multipole magnetic field on the surface of the neutron star is of great importance for radio emission from Geminga-like pulsars.
