The galactic disk is modelled by an oblate spheroid with cofocal isodensity surfaces. An explicit analytical expression is found for the angular velocity of the gas outside the disk. Parameters of a three-component model of a spiral galaxy (oblate spheroidal disk with a central hole, bulge and massive corona) are adjusted as to give in the disk a double-peaked rotation curve (as in the Galaxy, M31 and M81). It has been shown that the gas corotates with the disk at moderate heights |z| ≤ 2 kpc. However, farther above the double-peaked form is washed out. Gas pressure gradient in the halo only weakly changes the rotation curve just above the disk (r < rdisk) and makes the rotation curve decline beyond the disk edge (r > rdisk).
