The problem of atmospheric heating by electrons is considered. The temperature distribution in the flare region is found as a function of the total energy flux of electrons, F(0), and the energy cutoff, E(1). Theoretical color indices of outgoing U - B, B - V, V - R, and V - I radiation are determined as a function of F(0) and E(1), as well as that of the position of the flare on the stellar disk. Comparison of the theoretical values of U - B, B - V, and V - R with observed ones for the strong flares of EV Lac shows that the color indices are close to one another when F(0) is approximately equal to 3 x 10 exp 11 ergs/sq cm s, E(1) is approximately equal to 100 keV, and the flare is on the periphery of the disk.
