Thorium, uranium and potassium have been determined in nine tektites and two Peruvian glasses by a non-destructive gamma-spectrometric technique. The nine tektites include three indochinites from Thailand, one indochinite from China, two bediasites, one philippinite, one moldavite and one australite, and the average thorium, uranium and potassium contents of these samples are 11.9 ppm, 2.0 ppm and 1.9 per cent respectively. Attention is drawn to the rather high (average, 6.0) Th / U ratio observed for these tektites. Previous thorium and uranium data on tektites are tabulated, and compared with the present work.
