The Gamma Persei system, a composite-spectrum binary, is described. The
first observation of the Gamma Per eclipse made in September 1990 with
the 200-inch telescope on Palomar Mountain and procedures used during
this observation are discussed. Characteristics of the eclipse are
presented.
