Recent interesting observations in gamma astronomy are surveyed. Consideration is given to the 0.5-MeV annihilation line; enigmatic gamma sources in the 100-MeV energy region; the detection of gamma rays with an energy of about 10 to the 12th eV on the basis of Cerenkov radiation produced by them in the earth's atmosphere; and recently detected gamma rays of ultrahigh energies (greater than 10 to the 15th eV).
